Our office in Accra, Ghana is seeking to appoint leading Lawyers with high profile and deep professional experiences in Corporate and Commercial Law, Finance, Energy and Mineral Resources, Employment and Immigration and other relevant legal practice areas to join our practice.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

An applicant must possess the following:

  • A minimum of an LLB Degree with a 2nd Class Upper Division from recognised institution. A masters' degree in law or other professional qualifications would be an added advantage
  • Must have been called to the Bar of Ghana and must have between 3 and 5 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm in Ghana
  • A leader, a team player and an innovator with proven track record of developing his/her team and taking cornplete ownership of his/her professional development
  • A track record of leading successful teams and projects
  • An experienced researcher with outstanding self-drive requiring minimal supervision
  • Successful business development profile
  • An excellent analytical, writing and presentational skills
  • Able to work under tight and demanding deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build lasting relationships with clients

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing business proposal in response to requests or opportunities identified
  • Leading in the sale of legal services to existing clients and prospective clients and developing wide range of new products in response to client needs
  • Leading in the provision of a range of service offerings such as legal due diligence, corporate structuring, general legal and regulatory advisory services
    across industry, corporate compliance processes among others to clients of the firm
  • Collaborating and coordinating with Staff and Partners of the other divisions of our firm and its international affiliates in serving our clients
  • Attending clients meetings and providing on the spot advice as well as written advice to clients of the firm
  • Drafting and or reviewing agreements or contracts and expressing opinions on the agreements as well as suggesting wordings to meet legal requirements as
    well as highlighting the risk areas for consideration
  • Designing and Facilitating training modules for staff and clients from time to time
  • Developing, managing and maintaining clients' relationships and ring-fencing businesses of the firm with clients
  • Establishing a mechanism to be used in tracking proposed changes to laws, generating thought leadership products for distributions to clients and submitting
    memoranda on recommended changes to designated State Agencies
  • Supporting clients to conduct negotiations, lobbying and dispute resolution
  • Providing support to the firm and its General Counsel on legal matters
  • Building close working relationships with existing clients, identifying new opportunities and new ways to add value
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and value for money projects at all time use technology and tools to deliver reports and projects to clients, staff and
    partners of the firm
