GEA is a national employers' association established to support and promote the economic and social interest of employers through advocacy consultions and negotiations with organized labour, government and other stakeholders towards a favourable business environment,stable and harmonious industrial relations climate and effective labour market systems and practices. GEA represents over 1500 employers in both formal and informal economies. The association seeks to invite experienced and seasoned professionals to join the team at its Secretariat as follows;

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS MANAGER

The successful candidate will assist in the formulation and implementation of industrial relations, social and labour policies to meet the needs of the organization's members and clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • To advice members on their internal industrial relations practices and labour issues
  • Conduct Collective Bargaining Negotiations on behalf of members and clients
  • Provide advisory services/support to members on general conditions of employment
  • Undertake research into particular industrial relations issues
  • Represent members and/or clients at the National Labour Commission
  • Facilitate settlement/resolution of industrial disputes between members and their unions and workers
  • Maintain up to date information on legislative instruments, status reports on events and trends in the field on industrial relations
  • Recruit new members for the Association
  • Visit new members/liaison with associations

The Person:

  • Must possess a minimum of Masters Degree in Social Sciences or Law or related field with five years' post qualification experience in HRM and in-depth knowledge on industrial relations in Ghana
  • Lawyers with at least two years experience at the Bar can apply
  • Must be a team player, organized and enthusiastic with relevant experience in Negotiations, Labour issues. Trade Union activities among others
  • Must have excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • Must be computer literate
  • Renumeration for all three (3) positions NEGOTIABLE
