A leading financial services group operating from Accra with operations in investment banking, securities trading and investment management, seeks to employ highly qualified professionals to fill the following position as Investment Analyst
Duties
• Provide operational and research support for lead portfolio managers.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with various portfolio restrictions and sector/industry exposures
• Review and analyse fund performance across asset classes, using the firm's systems and other available tools, in order to assist reporting performance to fund managers
• Monitor and ensure calculation of New Asset Value (NAV) of portfolios are done correctly on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including accrued income and expenses
• Liaise with custodians or banks and fund administrators to reconcile fund NAVs co-ordinate investigation and/or correction of variances, if any
• Provide ad-hoc performance reports to portfolio managers and senior management
• Produce written materials related to portfolios, funds, institutional accounts, and managed accounts - due diligence questionnaires, factsheets, strategy and marketing pieces, performance attribution, risk analysis and commentary, prospectus/annual reports etc
• Provide support or assist in gathering information for ad-hoc projects such as benchmark reviews, peer analysis, liquidity analysis, updating marketing materials, etc
• Perform related duties and project as assigned by supervisor
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment management operations or a similar role
• A minimum of a first degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other discipline with experience in investment management
• Should have successfully completed the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Securities courses and passed the examinations at all levels
