A global supplier and operator of offshore floating platforms seek a Painting Superintendent to work on their offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel in West Africa. You will conduct corrosion survey, inspection, assess and create a painting plan of the vessel and manage activities. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior lever painting role (preferably Supervisor level) in any of the following fields: New Ship building, Conversion, Ship Repair, Fabrication or construction of topside modules. Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 5 year experience in a senior lever painting role (preferably Supervisor level) in any of the following field - New Ship building, Conversion, Ship Repair, Fabrication or construction of topside modules essential.

• Offshore experience is preferable.

• Microsoft Office/ Word/Excel/Power Point and more is an advantage

• Good attitude to work.

• A strong Team Player.

• Strong personality in leadership – able to mentor support more junior personnel. 

• Flexible/adaptive to change.

Job Overview:

You will conduct corrosion survey, inspection, assess and create a painting plan of the vessel and manage activities. The Company has been in operation for many decades and are well established as a leading provider of floating solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry. They offer a range of vessels such as FPSO’s, FSO’S and FLNG and much more. They have an enviable reputation for EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) services as well as charter and operations projects. They operate globally and have offices in many countries. 


Responsibilities:

This role encompasses many functions including:


• Conduct corrosion survey, inspection, assess and create a painting plan of the vessel.

• Coordinate with Marine Supertendent (OPS), Integrity Engineer & Inspector and consolidate all painting issues in the painting plan based in priorities and necessity for operational activities, integrity and safety.

• Estimates manpower, paints, equipment, tools and consumables for the approved painting plan.

• Plan, organize, supervise and inspect the daily activity of all painting and scaffolding works

• Conduct daily tool box talk, prepare PTW (permit to work) and coordinate the job with other department

• Prepare IHR for paints, equipment, tools and consumables

• Prepare daily progress report and monthly report

• Coordinate and manage the manpower embarkation and disembarkation

• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly audit of paints, equipment, tools and consumables

• Conduct joint inspection periodically with Paint Representative if POB allows

• Plan and arrange the medical exam and offshore training of his team

• Carry out other task instructed by his direct Supervisor/Manager

• Responsible for reviewing and approving the time sheets of the vendor

• Ensure that completed work orders are appropriately close in the MAXIMO


This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary.

In addition: 

• Offshore / Hardship allowances may be considered. 

• Transportation as necessary and required. 

• Alternatively, a transportation allowance may be provided. 

• 15 days paid leave and public holidays.

Foreign Service Premium may be considered.

You will be entitled to 1 trip for every 3 months service. This will include an economy flight plus 7 calendar day home leave (including weekend and public

holiday but excluding travel day) to visit your home country or to travel outside of designated country. 

Once a year, someone can accompany you - economy flight paid.

A small relocation allowance may be offered. 

The Company will organise all aspects of mobilisation/ demobilisation 

The Company will organise work permits.
