We are looking for a Procurement Assistant whose role requires communicating with suppliers, creating purchase orders, importing, processing, and checking orders, contacting internal customers as necessary, and supporting the Procurement and Commerce Officers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITES
- Analysing the requisitions from the Inventory Unit for purchases that will be made locally or purchases that will be imported taking project timelines into consideration.
- Creating appropriate purchase orders for suppliers, including item configuration and cost, ensuring all purchases are in line with statutory and company requirements
- Resolving supplier pricing discrepancies
- Contacting internal customers as needed for order corrections or clarifications
- Arranging for appropriate mode of delivery of items purchased and efficient costs.
- Handling relationship with suppliers to ensure satisfaction of both parties. Involve other stakeholders as and when required.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills or Experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The successful Candidate must have the following qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in fields of Supply Chain, Procurement/Purchasing or Social Science
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of ERP with be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Must have a good email etiquette
- Basic mathematical knowledge
