Key Responsibilities
• Lead the efforts to assess and build the capacity of the organisation's health providers to deliver and sustain the provision of quality services
• Provide technical guidance and develop training curricular and materials for capacity building interventions for health service providers and partner staffs
• Lead and deliver the organization's quality assurance goals and become the focal person for clinical trainings and clinical supervision in the region of operation
• Develop and nature relationships with the staff at various service delivery channels to effectively handle issues related to quality of clinical services
• Conduct internal clinical supervision at various service delivery channels in the region
• Support the development of action plans in response to these visits and ensure these plans are implemented
• Ensure appropriate management of clinical and product-related incidents at all service delivery sites in the region
• Lead the delivery of the organisation's capacity building goals in the region with support from the clinical training manager
• Ensure that clinical training needs assessment and competency certification are regularly done for all service providers in the region
• Establish quality control standards in line with the country and organisation's standards
• Supervise and assess the quality of trainings provided by the organisation and make recommendation for improvement
• Perform any other duties that may come up
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must have a recognised clinical qualification in Midwifery
• BSc in Midwifery from a recognised university
• Masters in Midwifery or MPH/RH Ghana will be an advantage
• Must be registered with a recognised local clinical professional body in Ghana and be of good standing
Skills and Experience
• At least 6 years hands on experience in delivery quality services specifically in designing or overseeing MNCH/SRH services
• 5 years practical experience in supportive clinical supervision and in sexual and reproductive health
• Must have requisite experience in quality assurance, training and competency in service delivery to work with minimum supervision
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft, Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
• Ability to prepare and present training slides and writing training reports
• Ability to give honest, constructive and challenging feedback to people
• Multi-skilled, excellent provider-client interaction skills, including counseling
• Good knowledge of MNCH related trainings, quality control and referrals systems
• Good interpersonal/communication skills - both oral and written
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills
• Inspirational, persuasive and collaborative approach to team work
• Sympathetic to women and men seeking family planning and reproductive health services
