Senior Specialist: Chenosis - MTN Ghana

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the lifecycle and commercial performance of MTN Ghana’s Enterprise digital portfolio, driving product adoption, customer growth and digital revenue across enterprise segments.

Key Tasks

Portfolio and Product Lifecycle Management

• Own the digital product roadmap and the business case for each product.
• Manage each product from concept through launch, in-life management and retirement.
• Maintain the product catalogue, define requirements for technical and partner teams, and review monthly performance to recommend what to grow, fix, reprice or retire.

Go-to-Market and Launch Management

• Lead go-to-market planning and launch readiness with Marketing, Sales and Technology.
• Bundle digital products with connectivity and converged solutions.
• Review each launch at 30, 60 and 90 days against its business case.

Product Line Responsibilities

• Data as a Service: data insight, verification and analytics products.
• Software as a Service: business application marketplace through reseller agreements.
• Chenosis: local onboarding of API consumers and publishers.
• CPaaS: messaging, USSD, short code and verification services.
• ERP: SME and mid-market propositions through implementation partners.
• Fintech for business: collections, disbursements and payment APIs with MobileMoney Limited.
• Other business VAS assigned to the digital portfolio.

Commercial Performance, Insight and Compliance

• Set pricing and margin proposals for approval under the Delegation of Authority.
• Deliver revenue, margin, active-customer and churn targets by product.
• Reconcile partner revenue share monthly with Finance and Revenue Assurance and provide product inputs to budgets and forecasts.
• Track competitor offers and customer feedback and size new opportunities.
• Secure regulatory approvals and confirm security and data protection compliance.
• Maintain the product risk register and close audit findings.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A product management or agile certification is an advantage, for example AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute or Certified Scrum Product Owner.
• A postgraduate qualification or cloud or digital certification is an advantage, for example MBA, AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in product management, digital services, VAS, fintech or software, with at least three (3) years in telecommunications, ICT or fintech.
• Track record of taking digital, VAS or software products from business case to launch and in-life revenue growth.
• Experience negotiating with and managing third-party vendors or partners under commercial agreements.
• Experience with B2B or SME customers.
• Ability to manage several product lines concurrently with limited supervision.

Professional/Technical Competencies:

• Product lifecycle management, business cases, pricing and go-to-market planning.
• Agile and scrum product ownership.
• Digital business models including subscription, usage-based, transaction-fee and revenue-share models.
• Working knowledge of SaaS, ERP, APIs, CPaaS, A2P messaging, USSD and mobile money services for business.
• Knowledge of the Ghanaian enterprise and SME market, including buying behaviour and competitor offers.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment, including NCA requirements, Bank of Ghana payment regulations, the Data Protection Act and the Cybersecurity Act.
• Telecommunications billing, provisioning and charging concepts, business cases and basic financial analysis.
