Iqra Educational Centre is seeking a dedicated, organised, and experienced Academic Coordinator to join our team.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Islamic Education, committed to academic excellence, and capable of coordinating teachers, curriculum delivery, assessment, and student learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the academic activities of the school.
- Support teachers in effective lesson planning, delivery, assessment, and classroom management.
- Coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of the Islamic Studies and Qur’an curriculum.
- Monitor students’ academic and Islamic educational progress.
- Develop and maintain academic schedules, schemes of work, assessment plans, and examination programmes.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Organise academic meetings, teacher training, and professional development.
- Ensure that teaching and learning reflect the school’s Islamic ethos and educational standards.
- Work closely with the School Administrator and school leadership on academic matters.
- Maintain appropriate academic records and prepare reports on academic performance.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, Education, or a related field.
- Have a strong background in Islamic Education and/or Qur’anic studies.
- Have experience in teaching, academic coordination, school administration, or curriculum development.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Islamic pedagogy and educational principles.
- Be able to lead, mentor, and coordinate teachers effectively.
- Have excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, responsible, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Be able to work within and promote an Islamic school environment and values.
- Arabic language proficiency and/or Qur’an memorisation/recitation experience will be an added advantage.
