Job Summary
The Controller Savings & Investments will support the end-to-end design, development, distribution and management of digital savings and investment products, including short-term savings, collective investment schemes (CIS), pension, equity, and other digital investment products distributed via the MoMo app and USSD channels.
The role holder acts as the central coordinator between partner financial institutions, the technology/service providers supporting them, and MoMo’s internal teams (technology, compliance, marketing, etc), ensuring smooth integration, distribution, and go-to-market execution. The role combines investment/fund knowledge with product management discipline to deliver customer-centric, commercially sound digital financial products, working closely with the Manager, Savings & Investment.

Job Role
Product Development & Management
- Support the end-to-end product lifecycle (partner onboarding, ideation, design, launch, monitoring, optimization) for digital savings and investment products
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify product opportunities and gaps
- Work with fund managers, investment analysts, and technology teams to translate investment products into digital-first customer offerings
- Define product requirements and customer journeys with technology/engineering teams
- Track product performance (uptake, AUM, retention) and recommend improvements
Fund & Investment Research
- Research CIS, pension products, equities, and other investment instruments to inform product design and positioning
- Support fund selection, due diligence, and performance analysis for partner funds/products on the platform
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor offerings in the savings & investment space
Product Document & Go-to-Market
- Prepare product requirement documents, specification sheets, and supporting documentation for each distributed product
- Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies and documents for new product launches and product initiatives
- Develop marketing-related strategies and materials in collaboration with Marketing/Comms to drive product awareness and adoption
Analysis & Reporting
- Build and maintain models and trackers for product performance, pricing, and profitability
- Prepare business cases, product proposals, and pricing recommendations for new or enhanced products
- Analyze customer and product data to generate insights (leveraging BI tools where available)
- Prepare periodic performance reports
Stakeholder Engagement & Presentations
- Develop and deliver pitch decks, proposals, and presentations to internal stakeholders, partners, and senior management
- Liaise with the Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Technology teams (both internally and on the partners’ end) to ensure products meet regulatory and risk requirements
- Support relationship management with fund managers and other product partners
Technology & Digital Delivery
- Work with technology teams to ensure products are effectively delivered via all channels
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and product enhancements
- Maintain a working understanding of the digital architecture underpinning product delivery
Job Requirements
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience, with demonstrable exposure to fund management and investment research.
- Professional certification (e.g. CFA I/II, ACCA, CISI) is an advantage
- Experience in fintech, asset management, banking, or investment environments preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to interpret financial/investment data
- Advanced Excel proficiency (modelling, data analysis)
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality pitch decks, proposals, and presentations
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple external and internal parties simultaneously
- Experience developing GTM strategies, product documentation, and marketing collateral is an advantage
- Basic appreciation of technology/digital platforms (apps, USSD, APIs) and system integration concepts
- Good understanding of savings and investment products (short-term savings, CIS, pension, equities)
- Data/BI tool exposure (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is an added advantage
- Awareness of embedded finance / open banking / API economy trends
- Strong written/verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong project management instincts
- Collaborative, cross-functional working style (technology, compliance, risk, marketing)
- Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
