Job Summary
The Treasury Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Treasury function, including cash management, banking activities, payment processing, and financial recordkeeping. The role assists with routine treasury transactions, maintains accurate records, monitors payment activities, prepares reports and banking documentation, and ensures compliance with established internal controls and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payments on banking platforms, ensuring transactions are accurately processed and appropriately authorized.
- Post payment transactions in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate recording of treasury-related transactions.
- Prepare bank instruction letters and follow up to ensure the required approvals and authorizations are obtained.
- Track payments and follow up with banks to ensure payments are successfully processed and completed within the required timelines.
- Monitor and report bank payment statuses and incidents, including identifying and escalating failed, rejected, delayed, or outstanding payments.
- Assist with bank communications and treasury reporting, ensuring timely completion and submission of KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation and providing accurate and timely information to support treasury operations.
- Track intercompany transfers and ensure transactions are appropriately monitored and recorded.
- Call-back beneficiaries and verify third-party bank account details, ensuring information is accurately maintained and appropriately confirmed.
- Maintain proper treasury records and documentation and ensure compliance with established internal control processes, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to third-party enquiries and provide relevant information and support to internal departments, auditors, suppliers, customers, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Perform other treasury-related and ad hoc duties as required to support the effective operation of the Treasury function.

Education, Prior Work Experience, And Specialized Skills/Knowledge
Education Background
- Degree or HND in banking/Treasury related courses.
Competencies;
- Knowledge in Treasury
- MS Office (Excel is essential)
- Years of Experience: 1 year
- Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Knowledge of SAP
- Team player who works productively.
