About the Role:
The Quality Systems Officer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continually improving the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable industry standards. The role ensures the QMS is well integrated into Latex Foam's core business processes and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in the organization’s processes.

Key responsibilities:
QMS Development, Implementation and Maintenance
- Liaise with QMS consultant to develop, implement, and maintain the QMS manual, procedures, work instructions, and forms in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Administer document and record control — numbering, revision, approval, distribution, and retrieval/obsolescence of controlled documents.
- Drive QMS awareness and ensure quality objectives are consistently monitored in all departments within the scope of the QMS.
- Periodically update the risks and opportunities register and evaluate the effectiveness of actions to manage risks
Audits, Non-Conformance and Corrective Action
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of the internal audit programme across all functions.
- Ensure audit reports are communicated to process owners and management.
- Coordinate the resolution of non-conformities and review their effectiveness
- Represent the organization during external certification and surveillance audits
Continuous Improvement and Compliance
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and risk-based thinking for new products or process changes.
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments and update the QMS accordingly.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to review data, identify trends, and recommend quality improvements.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, process-approach thinking, and risk-based management.
- Understanding polyurethane foam manufacturing and mattress assembly processes will be an advantage
- Root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies
- Document and records control system administration
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in a quality assurance/quality role, preferably within the manufacturing environment.
