Tralo is building the complete business operating system for African businesses. We help businesses manage their sales, inventory, payments, documents and day-to-day operations in one place.
As we expand our product across Ghana, we’re looking for a Mobile Application Development Intern to join our product and engineering team and help us build, improve and support the next generation of Tralo’s mobile experience.
About the role
You’ll work closely with our engineering team on the design, development, testing and improvement of Tralo’s mobile applications. You’ll work on real features used by businesses, integrate APIs and payment services, troubleshoot issues and contribute to making Tralo faster, simpler and more reliable.
While the primary focus is mobile development, you may also contribute to Tralo’s web application and technical support needs when required.

What you’ll work on
- Build and improve mobile experiences using React Native, React and TypeScript
- Work with Supabase and PostgreSQL
- Develop and maintain PostgreSQL functions and triggers
- Integrate APIs and payment gateway services
- Debug issues and improve application performance
- Test new features and help ensure product reliability
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the engineering team
- Support technical troubleshooting as Tralo’s mobile user base grows
- Contribute to Tralo’s web application when needed
What we’re looking for
- Strong proficiency in React, React Native and TypeScript
- Good understanding of modern state management
- Experience with Supabase and PostgreSQL
- Comfortable writing custom PostgreSQL functions and triggers
- Familiarity with Paystack or other payment gateway APIs
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Good understanding of software development practices
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in building technology for African businesses and SMEs
Nice to have
- Experience with web application development using React
- Experience working across frontend and backend systems
- Experience building or contributing to mobile applications
- Experience with payment integrations
- Experience working in a startup or early-stage product environment
- Personal projects or GitHub projects that demonstrate your skills
