About the Role
Nestas International School invites applications from enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Early Years Class Assistant (Kindergarten 2) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
Core Responsibilities
-
Assists the class teacher in preparing and delivering daily learning activities.
-
Supports pupils individually and in small groups during classroom instruction.
-
Helps prepare teaching and learning materials and maintains classroom displays.
-
Supervises pupils during lessons, playtime, meals, assemblies, and other school activities.
-
Assists in maintaining a clean, organised, safe, and child-friendly classroom.
-
Supports pupils in developing positive behaviour, good manners, and healthy routines.
-
Observes and report pupils' progress or concerns to the class teacher.
-
Assists with record-keeping and classroom organisation as directed by the teacher.
-
Promotes the school's values, child protection policies, and safeguarding procedures.
-
Performs any other duties assigned by the Headmaster or the Class Teacher.

Qualifications
-
A minimum of Senior High School (SHS) Certificate, Certificate II, or a Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Care, or a related field.

Previous experience working with young children will be an added advantage.

Applicants should:

Have a genuine love for children and Early Years education.

Be patient, caring, energetic, and responsible.

Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.

Be punctual, trustworthy, and able to work effectively within a team.

Be physically fit to support young children's daily activities.

Maintain high standards of professionalism, hygiene, and personal appearance.

Be willing to learn and follow the guidance of the Class Teacher and school management.
Added Advantage
Preference will be given to applicants who:
-
Have previous experience assisting in a preschool or kindergarten.
-
Have basic ICT knowledge.
-
Have training in child safeguarding, first aid, or inclusive education.
