Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill a vacancy in the post of Budget Officer in the Parliamentary Service of Ghana.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Budget Officer shall assist the Director of Budget to:
- Prepare the draft annual estimates of Parliament in line with approved guidelines
- Conduct expenditure forecasting and budget costing analysis of the resource requirements
- Ensure effective and efficient management, monitoring and control of budgetary allocations to cost centers
- Develop internal budgetary controls accordingly to monitor the expenditure utilised in carrying out programmed activities.
- Review, analyse and revise data with respect to the preparation and finalisation of cost estimates and programme budget proposals submitted by Parliamentary Committees, Departments and other cost centers
- Prepare Parliament's committees, Departments and other cost centers with the preparation and implementation of their respective work plans and budget estimates
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Clerk to Parliament.
