The University has its main campus located at Sumbrungu near Bolgatanga and a satellite campus at Bukere, a suburd of Bolgatanga. Teaching Staff
#1. Professors/Associate Professors
A person seeking appointment as a Professor/Associate Professor must have a terminal degree (PhD) in a relevant subject area and must have also attained the position of Professor or Associate Professor from a recognized tertiary institution at the time of application.

In addition, he/she must have:
- taught for a minimum of four (4) years as Professor/Associate Professor
- evidence of practical and applied scientific research and industry-related innovation
- demonstrated the ability to conduct independent research
- membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage
#2. Senior Lecturers:
- A person seeking appointment as a Senior Lecturer must:
- possess a terminal degree (PhD) in the relevant field of specialization
- have taught for a minimum of four (4) years as a Senior Lecturer
- have evidence of practical and applied scientific research and industry-related innovation shall require demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research.
#3. Lecturers
Applicant must have a terminal degree (PhD) in a relevant subject area. Post-qualification experience in a Lecturer’s grade from a recognized tertiary institution will be an added advantage.

- Industrial Art Department: Fashion and Textiles
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department: Power System Engineering / Renewable Energy Engineering
- Building Technology Department: Master of Law (LLM) / PhD in Law (LLD)
- Mechanical Engineering Department: Mechanical (Plant) Engineering
- Accounting and Finance Department: Accounting Software or Banking Software
- Communication & Applied Art Department: Communication Design or Graphic Design
