We are looking for a dynamic Senior Geologist – Digital to support the introduction, implementation, and optimisation of Orica’s Blast Modelling and digital geology technologies. This role offers the opportunity to influence product development, support customers in production geology, and contribute to a major strategic digital transformation program shaping the future of mining technology.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Geologist – Digital, you will:
- Lead the introduction of Orica’s digital Blast Modelling technologies across the West Africa region.
- Drive the implementation of scalable systems, processes, and procedures for new digital solutions.
- Manage multiple technical and commercial project workstreams.
- Coordinate customer engagements, project rollouts, and daily priorities.
- Provide expert consultation in production geology, grade control, modelling, and reconciliation.
- Conduct technical analysis, market assessments, and solution scoping.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support technology development roadmaps and customer value propositions.
- Work closely with third?party technology providers and internal cross?functional teams.

Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Solid production geology and grade control experience across hard?rock mining.
- Experience in geostatistics, resource modelling/estimation, and reconciliation.
- Strong competency in digital tools, data management, and modern mining software.
- Proven project management capability.
- Experience in customer relationship management and technical consulting.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support customers in both office and field environments.
- Bilingual ability in English and French is an advantage.
- Flexibility to travel internationally (30–50%), including to remote mine sites.
