JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of highly available and reliable services through proactive system monitoring and performance management.
The role reports to the Application Operations Manager.
ROLE SPECIFIC
- Continuously monitors the performance and overall health of all Business-critical solutions to ensure optimal service availability and reliability.
- Ensures all services meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), proactively identifying and mitigating potential disruptions.
- Responds swiftly and effectively to service interruptions, working diligently to restore functionality within SLA timelines.
- Champions a culture of innovation and operational excellence by promoting Agile and DevOps methodologies across support and delivery teams.
- Collaborates with project teams to facilitate the deployment of solutions that have successfully passed User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring smooth transition into production environments.
- Manages all assigned systems end-to-end and ensure alerts, licenses, certificates and other dependencies are managed with the right stakeholders on time to avert avoidable service interruptions.
- Ensures compliance of all security measures in application development processes.

Required Skills or Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Degree or minimum HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline /experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT.
- Must have Application Support experience and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of monitoring technologies and IT solution generally.
- Experience with operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows, Android, iOS), networking (TCP/IP), databases (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL), DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Ansible), and application technologies (Java, PHP, JavaScript, XML, JSON, NGINX, IIS, Apache Tomcat, Bash).
