Job Overview
Revna Biosciences Limited is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Phlebotomist. This individual will be responsible for performing the underlisted duties:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identifying patients and their personal information by reviewing their identity documents.
- Assessing patient needs, reviewing patient history, and determining the reason(s) for drawing blood.
- Selecting gauge needles and preparing veins or fingers for blood drawing.
- Drawing blood from patients through venipuncture or fingerstick.
- Analyzing blood specimens using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.
- Preparing specimens for transportation, including labeling vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients.
- Keeping and maintaining records of patient names, volume of blood drawn, and diagnostic findings.
- Cleaning and maintaining supplies used in the drawing and testing of blood specimens.
- Ordering laboratory supplies, as needed.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- HND in any Medical Program
- Minimum 3 years of similar work experience in a medical facility or equivalent.
- Phlebotomist certification if available.
- Knowledge of ISO 15189:2022 standards and medical laws and ethics.
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Willing to be hands-on with patients
- Be able to put patients at ease
- Able to adhere to protocols and careful with methods
