PSG is an Oil Palm and Rubber Plantations company located at Daboase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of SOCFINAF SA of Luxembourg and has over 2,000 employees.
REPORTS TO: AG. ADMIN/HR MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
As a Cook, you will play a significant role in adding value and contributing to our operations by preparing high-quality and delicious meals for our high officials and guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the preparation of quality and hygienic food for the manager and guest.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service.
- To ensure adequate food ingredients are always in stock to meet the food needs at all times.
- To carry out laundry and cleaning services at the house of the manager.
- Perform any other lawful duties assigned by your manager or his assignee from time to time.

RSPO, HSE, and ISO Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable RSPO and ISO 14001:2015 requirements, including policies and plans, as applicable
- Contribute and promote a positive culture by complying with all safety and environmental management procedures, security protocols, and emergency response measures, and assist in carrying out actions that would mitigate the risk of injury to myself and other employees and damage to plant, equipment, and the environment.
- Be aware of the environmental policy, the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with my work, my contribution to the effectiveness of the environmental management system, and the implications of not conforming with the environmental management system requirements.
- Work safely and ensure that environmental aspects, including but not limited to waste, are managed properly.
- Take personal responsibility for my safety and the safety of others by adhering to all workplace health, safety, and security requirements.
- Ensure the proper use of company-provided PPE and exercise due care in performing my assigned duties.
- Promptly report any injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, or environmental incidents to my supervisor and help identify and correct unsafe acts or behaviors.
- Actively participate in toolbox meetings, required training, and cooperate during incident or hazard investigations.
Required Skills or Experience
- Diploma in Catering/Catering II or SSSCE/WASSCE or its equivalent with some professional catering certificate.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience in the preparation of both local and international cuisines in a reputable hotel.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Nutritional resources management skills.
- Knowledge in the preparation of a variety of dishes (Local and continental).
- Food Safety and hygiene knowledge
- Knowledge in diet management, especially for expatriates.
PERSONALITY COMPETENCIES
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Must have high level of integrity
- Attention to details
- Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
