LabMart Limited, a leading provider of laboratory solutions and scientific technologies in Ghana, is seeking a highly qualified and passionate Life Sciences Application Specialist to join our growing team in Tamale.
Job Summary
The Life Sciences Application Specialist will provide expert technical and application support to customers across key life science workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong academic and practical experience in microbiology and molecular biology, and will play a critical role in assisting laboratories with advanced technologies from sample collection through analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and application support to customers in life sciences and microbiology laboratories
- Assist clients with complete laboratory workflows, including sample collection, preparation, analysis, and reporting
- Support customers in implementing and optimizing molecular biology techniques and instrumentation
- Deliver training, product demonstrations, and scientific consultations to end users
- Provide troubleshooting support for PCR/qPCR and related molecular platforms
- Work closely with sales and technical teams to deliver tailored life science solutions
- Maintain strong professional relationships with research, clinical, academic, and industrial laboratories

Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum qualification: MPhil in Medical Microbiology
- Strong practical laboratory experience in microbiology and molecular life sciences
- Ability and willingness to apply scientific expertise to support and train customers
- Excellent communication and professional customer engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in applications support, research, diagnostics, or scientific sales is an advantage
Required Technical Expertise
Candidates must be knowledgeable and experienced in the following areas:
- Medical Microbiology workflows
- Molecular Biology applications
- PCR and Real-Time PCR (qPCR)
- Proteomics workflows
- Sequencing technologies (NGS familiarity is an advantage)
- End-to-end workflow understanding:
Sample Collection → Sample Processing → Analysis → Data Interpretation → Reporting
