Job Summary
The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing highquality clinical care to patients, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and promoting preventive healthcare services in line with Ghana Health Service (GHS) standards and best medical practices. The role requires professionalism, ethical practice, and strong patientcentred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with various medical conditions
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans in accordance with approved clinical guidelines
- Provide emergency care and stabilize patients when necessary
- Refer patients to specialist facilities when required and follow up on referrals
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records
- Work collaboratively with nurses, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, medical ethics, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and continuous professional development activities
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards within the clinic
