The Customer Service and Sales Officer will represent the British Council, delivering a seamless and positive customer experience to partners and customers across all channels, including enquiries about programmes and examination services.

The role is responsible for achieving sales targets by effectively managing prospective exam candidates and supporting the Exams team to meet or exceed their goals. Responsibilities include providing consistent customer service in line with corporate standards, handling enquiries, maintaining accurate records, supporting training and testing delivery, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.

The officer will also manage the full sales cycle—from initial enquiry to final registration—maximize conversion rates, nurture leads, and support cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. In addition, the role involves supporting exam services by coordinating registration, payment, data management, and cash handling, while ensuring compliance with audit requirements and contributing to business development objectives.

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal English (minimum B2), fluency in French, a Higher Diploma or equivalent professional experience, and a proven background in customer service and sales. Strong communication, problem-solving, IT, and numerical skills are essential, along with a results-driven and resilient approach. Experience with CRM systems and relevant professional qualifications in customer service or sales are desirable.

Pay Band: 4 H

Contract type : 2 years Fixed term contract
