The Engineering Department of Damang Gold Mine is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self-motivated individual who will be responsible for identifying opportunities and implement strategies to improve plant availability. The incumbent will be responsible for classifying inefficiencies and propose optimal solutions to ensure optimum performance in the maintenance planning section.
About role:
- Analyze data to determine opportunities to increase plant availability to reduce cost
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and generate adequate maintenance reports.
- Define and implement maintenance strategies
- Implement measuring techniques to monitor and predict failures
- Administer the Computerized Management System (CMMS) and maintenance planning cycle
- Assist in reducing shutdown durations through scheduling and planning
- Analyze and report on maintenance-related data
- Assist in managing all contracts to ensure that their activities are carried out within the scope of work
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports to the Unit Manager – Engineering
- Ensure that the workforce under his/her jurisdiction work as a team
- Ensuring that effective maintenance standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems
- Ensuring that staff are effectively trained, developed, and supervised

About you:
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution
- Must have at least MINCOM Inspecting Engineers Certificate of Competency
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience on a gold processing plant
- Experience in working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Experience in Cost Control systems
- Experience in Contract Management System
- Experienced in SAP Software
- Have competent computer skills
- Medical fitness for the position and environment
- Valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles
