The workforce of TEMG is categorised into two groups: the unionized and Non-unionised. The unionized staff are represented by a local union (GTPCWU) with an affiliation with the T.U.C, and the mainstay of the Union-Management relationship is the collective Agreement (CA). There is a generally harmonious industrial environment, albeit with a few disagreements on pertinent issues from time to time. The Non-unionised staff are covered by the Management Terms and Conditions of service.

Activities

  • Work closely with the Salaries, Compensations & Benefits Manager to ensure that all Compensation and benefits-related transactions and deductions are processed accurately and on time.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day employee benefits, including enrollments, updates due to life events and engagement with external stakeholders including GRA and SSNIT.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring and adjustment of the annual compensation and benefits Budget.
  • Assist in conducting job analysis and salary surveys to ensure the company’s pay structure is externally competitive and internally equitable.
  • Maintain and update the staff database, including personal and employment details
  • Ensure timely payment of statutory deductions (PAYE, Social Security, etc.) and file annual tax returns.
  • Take active part in annual in income tax audits and assist to prepare required payroll reports.
  • Assist in the management of pension schemes and staff shareholding processes.
  • Reconcile payroll entries with accounting records and administer staff loans.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, responding to their inquiries regarding compensation, benefits, and related policies, and providing guidance on available options.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a good first-degree accounting (minimum of 2 nd Class)
  • Partly qualified with a recognised accounting body (ICAG, ACCA)
  • Must have sound knowledge of recognised management software.
  • Good Knowledge of the personal income tax laws.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience, preferably in a salary Administrator environment.
