Full Job Description - Read Carefully
China Geo-Engineering Corporation, a reputable construction company in Kumasi, is looking to employ the services of a Civil Engineer immediately.
Job Responsibilities
The person will;
- Act as technical adviser on our construction site for sub-contractors, artisans and operatives;
- Set out, level and survey the site,
- Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications;
- Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
- Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or Architect, and liaise with the consultants, subcontractors and supervisors, planners, Quantity Surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Communicate with clients and other representatives (Engineers and Surveyors) on site and keep management informed of the progress
- Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors and prepare reports as required.
- Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site, resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

Required Skills or Experience
Interested persons should have;
- First Degree in Civil Engineering and a construction-related field
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience.
- Should have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Should have commendable analytical abilities
- Should be able to handle and organize a huge labour force
- Should be able to foster confidence in the labour force
- Should be comfortable with necessary documentations
- Should be capable of working in adverse situations
- Proper social etiquette and cultural knowledge
- Creative and problem-solving skills
