We are looking for a Software Packaging & Deployment Engineer to join Heidelberg Materials Digital Hub Accra.

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Packaging and Deployment Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations team. The focus will be on managing the lifecycle of application packaging, deployment, and patching across our Windows-based enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Patch My PC and is a professional software packaging expert.

Responsibilities:
- Package, test, and deploy Windows applications using Intune, MECM, and Patch My PC.
- Maintain, optimize, and improve the software deployment infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate deployment and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure software meets organizational standards and policies.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide Tier 3 support for application-related incidents.
- Create and maintain documentation for packaging standards, deployment architecture, and change management.
- Drive service health, reliability, and continuous improvement in deployment processes.
- Engage in service readiness activities, testing, validation, and operational handover.
- Contribute to automation initiatives, including opportunities leveraging AI for efficiency and scalability.
Your profile:
- 3+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment in enterprise Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with Intune, MECM/SCCM, WSUS, Patch My PC, and PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of packaging formats (MSI, MSIX), deployment scripting, and Windows OS internals.
- Experience with cloud-based and modern deployment architectures is an advantage
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, patching standards, and operational security.
- Structured, analytical, and self-driven working style with ability to operate independently.
- Collaborative mindset, willing to support others and share knowledge.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
