Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) LTD is seeking to recruit a Head, IT Audit.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly competent professional to lead our IT audit function. The Head of IT Audit will be responsible for providing independent assurance n the effectives of the bank's information systems, cybersecurity controls and IT governance frameworks
This role is critical to safeguarding the bank's digital infrastructure and ensuring compliance wit regulatory and internal standards
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a risk-based IT audit plan aligned with the bank's strategic objectives
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols
- Conduct audits of core banking systems, digital platforms and third-party service providers
- Provide timely and actionable recommendations to enhance IT governance and risk management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory directives and international best practices

Qualification Required & Experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity or related field
- A recognized professional certification, such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in IT audit or information security within a regulated financial institution
Desirable Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and interface effectively with senior management
- Experience with emerging technologies, fintech platforms and digital transformation initiatives is an advantage
