The role of the lecturer is to support and maintain the University College’s national and international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. We are therefore searching for well-organized, innovative fulltime/part-time lecturers to join our established department for the underlisted courses;
- Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Logic and Critical Thinking
- French
- Communication Skills
- Business Economics
- African Studies
Job Functions
The Lecturer’s main duties and responsibilities shall include the following:
Academic work
- Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars in subject-specific areas.
- Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms.
- Developing and designing curriculum for new programs.
- Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
- Supervise students' research projects and theses and provide professional mentorship at all levels
- Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
Research
- Conducting research, writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books and attract grants.
- Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
- Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
Support
- Providing support to students and other colleagues.
- Provide services to the Department, the University and Professional Organizations when the need arises.
- Staying current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- A minimum of a researched Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years as a lecturer in a higher institution
- Previous teaching experience.
- Computer literate
- General Knowledge about Moodle Learning Management System (advantage)
- Published work would be advantageous.
- The person must have integrity
- Ability to inspire students with your passion.
- Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to work long hours.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
