CIMPOR Africa is seeking a Raw Materials Engineer to join our operations in Ghana. The position is responsible for planning and managing raw materials, ensuring continuous supply from quarries and crushing–screening plants, preparing production plans, optimizing blasting–loading–transport operations, monitoring stock and moisture, analyzing laboratory results, and securing product compliance with required standards.
The role also focuses on improving cost/ton performance and ensuring visible implementation of health & safety standards in daily field operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geology, or Mineral Processing Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in aggregate or quarry operations
- Experience in mining and cement plants
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret technical documents
- Capable of performing material and mass balance calculations
- Skilled in analyzing technical/feasibility reports and preparing summary reports; research-oriented
- Knowledge of crushing–screening circuits, rock characterization, blasting basics, quality control, and reporting
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), MS Project, and AutoCAD
- Experience with ERP/reporting tools (SAP, Power BI preferred)
- Good command of English (both written and spoken)
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving ability
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work actively in the field.
