JOB OVERVIEW:
RIEPCO Solar is an international company providing customized power solutions in West Africa. We are seeking an experienced Technician as Solar Installation Manager to lead the execution of solar installation projects in Ghana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy projects, with expertise in planning, execution, and delivery of domestic to medium-scale solar power installations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of solar technology, procurement and installation processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy projects, electrical engineering, and project management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Prior hands-on installation, testing & commissioning experience is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and install solar solutions for domestic, commercial and industrial sites. Work closely with Managers & Directors.
- Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) or other software.
- Oversee & manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to commissioning, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution & delivery to customer.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, documentation and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Manage contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve any project challenges, including technical and logistical issues.
- Ensure all project documentation, reports and communications are in place.
- Perform any other job required from time to time as per the exigency of the position.
- Fluency in more than one Ghanaian language could be an advantage.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in solar installation, with at least 3+ years in solar or renewable energy installation, recruitment and management of installers.
- Proven track record in managing multi-lever solar installations (1kW to 100kW and upgradable projects).
- Strong knowledge of site assessments, material & tooling, BOQ and estimation.
- Experience with solar PV system installation, construction, and grid integration.
- Proficiency in single-line diagrams and use of MS tools.
- Strong understanding of local and international renewable energy standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly to both remote and local managers and partners.An
- Energy-Commission installer or assessors’ certificate is a plus.
- Familiarity with grid-tied, inverter systems, battery storage, and hybrid solar solutions.
- Experience working in Ghana and West Africa.
