Purpose
This role ensures the maintenance and safety of park facilities, manages budgets effectively, supervises staff, and fosters positive public relations, thereby enhancing the overall quality and accessibility of our industrial park.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintenance and Safety Management
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and construction of park facilities, including landscaped areas, playgrounds, trails, and restrooms.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of parks and recreational facilities, including the proper handling, storage, use, and disposal of materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of park areas to identify and address maintenance needs and safety hazards.

Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise, train, and evaluate park staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable and skilled in their duties.
- Develop work schedules and assign tasks to staff, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage budgets, prepare cost estimates, and monitor expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Procure necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with procurement policies.
- Prepare and submit reports on budget status, project progress, and resource utilization.
Community Engagement and Public Relations
- Organize and oversee recreational programs, events, and activities that promote community engagement and well-being.
- Address public inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive experience for park visitors.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance park programs and services.
Environmental Conservation and Sustainability
- Implement and oversee projects that promote environmental sustainability, such as landscaping and tree planting.
- Develop and enforce park rules and regulations to protect natural resources and ensure visitors’ safety.
- Monitor and manage the impact of park activities on the environment, taking corrective actions as needed.
Regulation Enforcement and Compliance
- Monitor and enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety of visitors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to park operations and maintenance.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and violations within the park, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary.

Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation management, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in park management or a related area.
- Proficiency in maintenance and safety management, staff supervision, and budget management.
- Knowledge of environmental conservation practices and local regulations.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage park operations and staff.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address public inquiries and complaints.
