Job Summary:
We are hiring Credit Officers to manage our loan portfolio and ensure effective credit administration. The ideal candidate will assess creditworthiness, monitor repayments, and support clients throughout the loan cycle.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Marketing of Q Capital’s loan products and winning new loan businesses.
- Evaluate clients business information to ensure accuracy and maintain updated records of loan applications.
- Interviewing, assessing and appraising of requests for loan facilities.
- Conduct background investigations into the character and credit worthiness of credit applicants and identify the presence of any risks.
- Assess credit applications and process them for consideration by the Credit Committee.
- Ensure that all conditions for loan approvals are adhered to before disbursement.
- Ensure that all loan facilities are within approved Credit Policy guidelines and comply with Bank of Ghana requirements.
- Monitor progress of existing loans and follow up with clients about loan renewals
- Monitoring of loan clients to ensure prompt repayments in accordance with terms of facilities and alerting credit officers of any dangers in portfolios.
- Recovery / Collection of daily or weekly repayments from clients
- Provide adequate support by advising clients on business strategies to help grow and expand their businesses
- Preparation of regular reports
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Personnel Specifications
Knowledge and skills include
- First Degree / HND/DBS in any relevant field with six months (6) post-qualification relevant working experience. OR
- WASSCE with a concentration in any relevant field with three (1) year a post-qualification relevant experience.
- Experience in the microfinance industry is an added advantage

Work-based competencies/skills;
- Proven work experience as a Credit/Loan Officer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with lending/recovery procedures and products
- Good Marketing and Sales promotions skills
- Strong analytical skills and judgement
- Good numeracy/ accuracy skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent Customer service skills
