Job Description
Position Summary /Job Goal:
The LCS Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of LCS children to and from the school to their residences.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Drive the school bus safely, transporting children to and from the school to their residences in accordance with the bus schedule, and undertake additional school-related driving duties.
- Responsible for ensuring the children's security and safety at all times.
- Responsible for driving the vehicle in accordance with all road traffic regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring that all faults on the vehicle are promptly reported.
- Responsible for undertaking requisite vehicle inspections on a daily basis.
Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
- Secondary School leaving certificate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (Minimum of C class)

Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of 5 years’ professional driving experience for an organization.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience driving a class C sized vehicle or larger.
- A working knowledge of health and safety requirements as a bus driver.
- Experience of providing customer service in any capacity.
- A good command of the English language – reading, writing and communicating.
- A working knowledge of road safety regulations concerning children.
- Experience of dealing with customer complaints.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work with parents, colleagues and all other school staff.
- Demonstrable experience of adhering to guidelines and policies.
