ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage and optimize our inventory processes. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless flow of materials, maintain accurate stock levels, and support various departments by providing timely and efficient inventory services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Cross-Departmental Operations

  • Assist other departments in retrieving accurate stock quantities efficiently.

Material Requisition & Sales Order Processing

  • Locate and verify item availability.
  • Generate packing lists for warehouse staff.
  • Process item issuance in the ERP system.
  • Oversee item handover to users.
  • Prepare waybills and ensure proper packaging & labelling.
  • Verify and include invoices where applicable.

Manage Returned Items

  • Inspect returned goods for condition and quantity.
  • Ensure items are suitable for resale.
  • Properly store returned items under safe conditions.
  • Update inventory records in the ERP system.

Inventory & Stock Level Monitoring

  • Prevent stock shortages by tracking minimum stock levels daily.
  • Provide early warnings for potential stockouts based on project and sales forecasts.
  • Place purchase requests considering sales trends and vendor lead times.
  • Report discrepancies in stock levels immediately.

Warehouse Operations & Supervision

  • Oversee picking, packing, loading, and unloading activities.
  • Generate purchase requests for low-stock and non-stock items.
  • Maintain accurate material movement records for projects and sales.
  • Supervise junior warehouse staff to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall company goals.

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions relating to work
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Wear appropriate PPEs for work at all times
  • Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in inventory management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing stock levels, processing material requisitions, and utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
