Job Purpose
Rock City Hotel is a leading player in the hospitality industry, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Stores Officer to join our team and ensure the efficient management of our inventory and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and supplies within the company.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to prevent shortages, discrepancies, and wastage.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of inventory according to company standards.
- Work closely with procurement and other departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports to management.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations in the store.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend necessary actions
Required Skills or Experience
Qualification/Skills
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge in materials control system will be an added advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
