Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Head of Funds Development and Accounts to lead our fundraising and financial management efforts while advancing the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure funding from donors, corporate partners and grant-making organizations.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and build relationships with potential sponsors and investors.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting to ensure accountability and transparency in resource management.
  • Manage donor relations and ensure timely communication, updates and reporting on the utilization of funds.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prepare grant proposals and funding applications aligned with Planet Women GH’s vision.
  • Provide leadership in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Fundraising, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, financial management, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in successfully securing funding from donors and corporate sponsors or other means.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management systems, IFRS, GAAP and fundraising techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data for strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Ghana’s Tax Law.
