Finance Manager - Servair Ghana

Servair Ghana is an International Catering Company operating across various activities in the Airline catering industry, and we are looking for a FINANCE MANAGER.

Reports to: General Manager (local) and BU Africa

Job Summary

• The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the finance function of Ghana subsidiary, ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to both local management and the Group Headquarters.

• As a key member, the Finance Manager with the General Manager drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and ensure alignment with the Group's financial policies, reporting standards, and internal controls.

• The role combines operational finance leadership with a strong emphasis on corporate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and business partnering within a multinational environment.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Financial Leadership

• Lead and develop the Finance function, ensuring high levels of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and the Team.

• Provide financial insight and recommendations to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

• Promote a culture of financial discipline across the organization.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.

• Prepare rolling forecasts and financial projections based on evolving economic indicators and business performance.

• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Develop KPIs and management dashboards to support decision-making.

Financial Reporting

• Serve as the primary finance interface with Corporate Finance and Group Controlling. Ensure complete, accurate, and timely submission of all financial reports.

• Deliver high-quality reporting packages to Group Headquarters in accordance with corporate deadlines.

• Prepare management reports, board presentations, and performance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and applicable IFRS/local GAAP requirements. Coordinate financial consolidation and reporting requirements with Corporate Finance.

Financial Information Systems Performance

• Lead the implementation, integration, and maintenance of financial applications (SAP, HFM, Power BI, etc.).

• Ensure the integrity, traceability, and usability of financial data.

• Promote technological innovation to enhance financial performance and efficiency.

Accounting & Control

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll accounting, and Treasury.

• Ensure the integrity of financial records and compliance with statutory requirements. Maintain robust internal controls and financial governance.

• Oversee external audits and coordinate relationships with auditors. Support Group audits, internal controls reviews, and compliance initiatives.

• Implement Group finance policies, procedures, and reporting standards locally. Coordinate responses to corporate information requests and ad hoc analyses.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Ghana tax legislation and statutory obligations. Oversee CIT, VAT, and regulatory reporting.

• Ensure adherence to Group internal control frameworks and corporate governance policies. Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital. Optimize cash management and financing activities.

• Oversee bank account management, banking authorization governance, and relationships with financial institutions.

• Anticipate funding requirements through reliable cash flow forecasting models.

Business Partnering

• Support commercial and operational teams through financial analysis and performance reviews. Evaluate investment proposals and business cases.

• Participate in strategic projects, acquisitions, system implementations, and transformation initiatives where applicable.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team.

• Define objectives and conduct performance evaluations.

• Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.

• Drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, or similar degree.

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is mandatory.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience.

• Experience in multinational companies with complex reporting structures.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting under IFRS.

• Experience managing statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Previous experience in shared services or matrix organizations is advantageous.
