About The Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you will have the chance to utilise your academic knowledge and skills in a professional work environment. This position will play a vital role in the Finance and Administration team by contributing to the timely, accurate, and efficient reporting of financial information.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• Assisting with the maintenance of accounting records and documentation
• Participating in various special projects as needed
• Assistance with Activity Statement preparation
• Fixed asset & Lease Accounting
• Supporting the preparation of internal monthly reports
• Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Supporting statutory half-year and full-year reporting
• Supporting the preparation of information for auditors
• Have a voice for safety and compliance and use it.

Essential

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field and have completed National service.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Desirable

• Currently undertaking/desire to undertake CA/CPA studies
