Job Description

  • Department: Admin
  • Reports To: Procurement Manager
  • Location Onsite at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, Adeiso, E/R.

Job Purpose

Support the procurement team to buy, plan and coordinate the activities in purchasing materials, products and services by the suppliers locally and internationally. 

Coordinate the incoming logistics nationally and internationally and manage cross-border activities.

Job Duties

  • Purchase or contract suppliers for equipment and inputs in accordance with the procurement manual and procedures
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
  • Locate and evaluate vendors of materials, equipment or suppliers to determine product availability and terms of sales nationally and internationally
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchases orders for suppliers and equipment including their logistics
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received
  • Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
  • Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs 
  • Use SAP to
     1. open new BP, articles
     2.  Enter suppliers’ key data, and forms in the purchasing module 
  • Organize land-, sea- and air transport to the factory
  • Consolidate invoices and packing lists for the land-, sea- and air transport and clearing
  • Coordinate the Intercompany material exchange with CIV 
  • Controls the incoming material

Required Skills or Experience

Education, Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A good degree or diploma in Purchasing and Supply / Logistics / International Trade / Accounting or Administration
  • Minimum of 3-5 yrs working experience
  • Good .xls, and .ppt skills 
  • Experience in multimodal shipping is desirable
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Fluency in French desirable
  • Excellence, Integrity, Accountability, 
  • Results-oriented 
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with less supervision
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
