Revna Biosciences is on the lookout for a dynamic professional to fill the role of Data Manager. The successful candidate will be working on site, from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, under the ACESO Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and create database tables for the ACESO study
- Responsible for the creation of data management plans and other data management documentation as needed
- Assist with CRF design, review and validation of clinical database(s)
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the data management of the ACESO research study
- Day-to-day operation of the REDCap database
- Ensure Research Assistants (RAs) have the correct data entry program while entering the study data;
- Ensure adequate backups of the data exist on external drives and servers and are available in case of problems;
- Prepare database reports – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Extract data and transform it to a format required by the PI and ACESO sponsors
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems that may occur during data entry and assist with Query resolution
- Contribute towards process improvement, quality assurance and quality control working with data management leadership as needed
- Any other duties appropriate to the role

Required Skills or Experience
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in the biological sciences, computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of research data management experience.
Functional and Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office (© Microsoft Word, Excel, etc).
- Knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements regarding clinical data management documentation and software.
- Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and REDCap study management an added advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and use of coding dictionaries
