We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a key role in shaping the employee experience, managing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with labour regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Intercontinental Group Ghana Ltd is a wholly owned Ghanaian company engaged in commodity trade specializing in Fertilizers for the local Ghanaian market. The company actively participates in the government flagship "Planting for Food and Jobs program" and supplies NPK & UREA to farmers.
About the Role
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Management reports and provides decision support through HR metrics.

Required Skills or Experience
About You
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive.
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree/Masters in Human Resources or related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
