The IT Support Administrator is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for all computer systems, hardware, software, networking infrastructure, and SCADA systems across the company’s oil jetty operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and requests from oil jetty staff and operations personnel
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer/network issues, software errors, hardware failures, connectivity problems, SCADA system errors, etc. promptly
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain SCADA software, HMI applications, and related control systems
- Monitor and optimize the performance of SCADA systems for oil jetty operations
- Provide training to operations staff on using SCADA systems and HMI applications
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, operating systems, and software applications
- Maintain network security by monitoring activity, implementing security protocols, and handling cybersecurity incidents
- Provide IT orientation and training to new employees on systems, software, and company IT policies
- Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records of hardware/software licenses and warranties
- Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and knowledge-base articles
- Assist with the planning and implementation of new IT projects, system upgrades, and process improvements
- Liaise with external IT vendors/service providers for support, maintenance, and procurement as needed
- Ensure adherence to all IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements in the oil/gas industry

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, systems administration, or SCADA technician roles
- Strong technical knowledge of SCADA systems, HMIs, computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and common business applications
- Experience with oil/gas industry applications and maritime operations is preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with patience and a positive attitude
