Job Description
Duty Station : Mankessim
PURPOSE
The Banking Operations Coordinator shall support BGSL service point/branches with onsite banking operations. He/she will coordinate allocated resources to achieve all agreed objectives. The scope of responsibility shall span, but not limited to, providing valuable support in staff management, branch operations management (cash and non-cash), systems, risk management and client management.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing guidance and support to service point/branch operations team to ensure smooth performance of branch activities.
- Oversee and manage daily banking operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Assist in performing tasks related to the confirmation and approval of specific transactions.
- Aid in ensuring that all branch staff under their supervision deliver good quality services to all clients
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate risks.
- Contribute to developing a strong sense of client orientation amongst all staff in the service points/branches
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the banking department.
- Coordinate all cash operations for branches under their supervision to ensure strict adherence to vault and cash box policies and procedures.
- Coordinate all non-cash operations for branches under their supervision to ensure strict adherence to non-cash policies and procedures.
- Assist in performing monthly cash count in the vault for the service points/branches.
- Support the monitoring of service delivery levels to ensure a consistent match between actual service delivery and agreed institutional standards
- Support in effectively implementing service recovery initiatives to ensure that clients’ complaints are effectively addressed.
- Contribute to ensuring that all staff comply with relevant institutional policies, processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the full implementation of all recommendations of audit, compliance and other management reports.
- Support in the preparation and submission of monthly reports on business, operations and other standard reports to management and the relevant support departments.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
- Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Responsible for ensuring team members are appropriately trained, and supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned by the safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Required Skills or Experience
EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking operations.
- Strong understanding of banking processes, products, and regulations.

- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Professional certifications in banking or operations management are desirable
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s Degree: Concentration / Major
- Master's degree is a plus
- Professional Certification is a plus. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
