Job Description
MSI Ghana has a vacancy for passion-driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience in Accra. Contract Type: Part-Time
The Locum Centre Midwife will be responsible for providing high-quality core MSI RCL Ghana clinical services in the assigned Centre of Excellence. The post will be based in Takoradi.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership and Network Building
- Assist to oversee the work schedules & strengths of all clinical team working within the Centres.
- Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients' special needs such as flexibility on working hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSI RCL Ghana services
- Have a public relations and promotional role with colleagues, GHS and the general public
- Identify appropriate training needs within Centre teams and, in consultation with the Centre Manager, arrange for appropriate trainings and induction of new teams
- Timely collate and submit incidence reports to the Centre manager
- Monitor monthly Centre results and in collaboration with the Centre Manager make appropriate recommendations to meet set targets
Locum Centre Midwifery duties
- Provide core and non-core MSI RCL Ghana Clinical services including but not limited to: IUCD, Implant insertion, MSP and MSMP
- Assist with all clinical trainings at the center level
- Professional management of client complaints and/or clinical incidences in the centre
- Ensure adequate and timely requisition of items, stock management and record keeping
- Ensure Centre and its surroundings are kept tidy, net and clean at all times
- Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere towards all clients in the Centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times
- Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Manager
Communication and Administration
- Keep and manage records of all Centre activities including minutes of Centre teams meetings
- Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented

- Follow up on all client’s complaints relating to any of the MSIG services and make recommendations
- Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings
- Assist the Marketing Team with interviews relating to clinical issues to protect MSIG reputation
- Manage and properly account for all MSIG resources and properties in the Centre
Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Must be registered with a recognized local clinical professional body in Ghana and of good standing
- Must have a recognized clinical qualification in Midwifery
- Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision
- At least 1-year post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position
- A commercial mindset to grow clinics and meet set targets
- Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health
- Excellent provider-client interaction skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Work experience with Ghana Health Service and/or an INGO
- Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
- Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana
- Must be multi-skilled and passionate about maternal health
- Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision
- Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services
- Be able to work on own initiative and at longer periods
- Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels –government, donor and community
- Motivates team members to deliver high quality service and results
- Team player, self-motivator and able to motivate others to achieve results
