JOB DESCRIPTION
- Prepare and assist in food preparation in collaboration with the Kitchen Supervisor.
- Assist in menu planning, inventory and management of supplies.
- Ensure food preparation, presentation and dishing are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve promptly.
- Ensures quality food and good kitchen standards are maintained.
- Comply with all food portion sizes, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety standards in the hot kitchen are maintained.
- Utilize kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, grills, ovens, etc. to prepare food items.
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
- Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items.
- Perform opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and by proper guidelines.
- Keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
- Follow and uphold all hygienic and sanitation standards of the Hotel kitchen.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor from time to time.
