AGROPAL products are dried fruits (mainly from mangoes and pineapples). Our mission is to empower every actor in the agricultural value chain to ensure inclusive development of the sector. Job Description

Opportunity

As a growing company, AGROPAL is seeking new talents to complement its existing team with its mission of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain. Therefore, AGROPAL is seeking to hire a self-motivated, enterprising, analytical, and energetic candidate for the role of Human Resource Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

The hired candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Establish/strengthen company’s operational systems.
  • Review/develop company’s operational policies and manuals.
  • Efficiently and effectively support all facets of employee relations and engagement, encompassing recruitment, employment terms, training, and developmental initiatives.

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and organizational policies, guaranteeing compliance across the board.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to cultivate and sustain a culture marked by teamwork, commitment, empowerment, and innovation.
  • Supervise human resources staff, actively participating in performance evaluations and reviews.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with personnel at all levels, offering expert guidance on diverse human resource policies and related matters to enhance comprehension and facilitate effective communication of best human resource (HR) practices.
  • Assume responsibility for the implementation and periodic updating of human resource policies, ensuring timely resolution of all HR issues within the stipulated policy timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and current manual and computerized records, producing precise reports when needed.
  • Prepare staff attendance records for the finance department for salary and employee benefits processing.
  • Manage staff annual leave allocation.
  • Formulate a comprehensive grievance and disciplinary framework to oversee conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Develop and oversee employee benefits packages, potentially including health insurance, retirement plans, leaves, and pensions, among other components.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to quality assurance, health and safety regulations, championing a secure work setting for all staff members.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Hold a Master’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field. Possession of a certified human resource specialist qualification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate past experience and success in overseeing a workforce of more than 200 employees, ideally within a food processing factory environment.
  • Candidates must possess at least 10 years of experience in similar roles, particularly within the food processing environment.
  • Exhibit experience in navigating intricate human resource procedures and engagements, involving diverse internal and external stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Candidate must exhibit excellent leadership and human relation skills.
  • Showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at motivating, influencing, and negotiating effectively.
  • Candidate should be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Candidates should be able to work with employees from different backgrounds.
  • Female candidates are highly preferred.
