Job Description

Hollard General is looking for Affinity Business Development Manager

  • Report to:  Head, Retail Market

Job Objective

  • To oversee Sales Executives in our Affinity Channel and provide excellent and efficient service to clients and stakeholders by managing Relationships, Cost and Affinity Partnership operations.
  • The selected candidates will also be required to prospect/sell non-life insurance policies to existing and prospective clients under those partnerships.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed growth, sales, and profitability targets for the various Affinity partnerships
  • Develop and implement sales objectives, initiatives, strategies, and programs among Affinity salespersons aimed at meeting and exceeding set targets
  • Facilitate recruitment, train, and monitor the performance of sales executives at the various Affinity partnerships
  • Assist Sales Agents at the various partnership centers to write proposal, prospect for clients and carry out presentations on company’s products and services
  • Provide field support to Affinity Sales team to enable them generate leads and close new deals
  • Ensure exceptional service is provided to clients with speedy claim payments and efficient complaints management
  • Resolve concerns and complaints pertaining to the Affinity partnerships
  • Improve the skills and competencies of the Affinity Sales staff through learning and development initiative
  • Manage and keep records of all licensing requirements for Sales Executives in the Affinity partnerships
  • Comply with corporate governance and company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and submit timely sales production reports

Required Skills or Experience

  • University Degree or Higher National Diploma is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Sales/office management
  • Experience in sales and relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead and deliver on the promise
  • Good communication skills including writing and presentation skills
  • Good computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in Underwriting (i.e., ability to interpret policy wording, understanding how claims information impacts on underwriting)
