Shawbell Consulting, a reputable firm based in the Labone/Cantonments area which assists public and private sector clients in a diversity of commercial and corporate legal matters. We have an opening for a lawyer who will assist to ensure that the firm provides sound legal advice and high-quality professional services to its clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is interesting and diverse work which will entail:
- Conducting research and providing opinions on a diversity of technical and non-technical legal and associated issues.
- Regulatory studies and legislative reviews and interpretation
- Preparation, review and drafting of corporate documentation and reports.
- Analyzing and drafting contractual agreements.
- Liaising with regulatory agencies.
- Conferring with co-workers, clients, policymakers and specialists.
- Providing counsel regarding business transactions.
- Assisting in negotiations; making presentations and leading some meetings.

Required Skills or Experience
- Graduate/postgraduate qualifications acquired from recognized tertiary institutions.
- 5 – 8 years of working experience in total
- Solid post-call track record
- Computer Literacy is essential (Ms Word/Excel)
- Experience in the job requirement areas
- A sharp mind with excellent analytical, written and presentation skills
- Excellent and proactive team player with a positive attitude.
This is a full-time job, with extra hours on weekdays and some weekends.
