A company, dominant in the marine industry, is looking to hire an HR & Admin Manager to support the General Manager of the company.
Description
- Support the GM HR & Admin in implementing HR initiatives in line with the Company's strategic and operational objectives
- Develop employee engagement strategies - (reviewing employee motivation, commitment, organisation culture, well-being, health etc.) and provide recommendations/suggestions
- Assisting the GM HR & Admin with reward strategy/compensation and benefits review
- Reviewing and assisting with maintenance of HR department legal compliance requirements
- Monitoring and reviewing HR policies and implementing changes where necessary, and assisting with maintenance of HR department legal compliance requirements

- Supervising and developing the Company's Performance Management system - fleet appraisal scheme, advising managers on performance improvement issues
- Supervising the sickness and absence management strategy and assisting in applying across the fleet with guidance from medical and OH providers
- Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and PTO requests and update internal databases with new hire information
- Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies
- Gather payroll data like bank accounts and working days
- Supervise all travel and hotel arrangements for staff and visitors, including visas and work permits as applicable
- Assist the GM HR & Admin with all labour engagement and manage the new hire orientation and exit process including facilitating the redundancy strategy and process, when applicable
- Assist the GM HR & Admin on any other work-related matters as required/assigned
