KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the First Officer with the maintenance of navigating equipment.
- Responsible as ‘Back Up’ HLO.
- Ensuring all Life Saving and Fire Fighting equipment are positioned according to the ships approved safety plan
- Carry out planned maintenance and physical checks at determined intervals on all equipment, including the expiry dates and replacement of batteries
REQUIREMENTS
- STCW 95 (A-11/1) Certificate of Competency Appropriate proficiency in the operation of GMDSS
- Recognised DP Operator’s Certificate
